From Paris: - Take a TGV train from Gare de Paris-Montparnasse to Bordeaux. - In Bordeaux, change to a TER train towards Trémolat.
From Bordeaux: - Take a TER train directly from Bordeaux to Bergerac. - In Bergerac, change to a TER train towards Sarlat-la-Canéda, and get off at Trémolat station.
From Sarlat-la-Canéda: - Take a TER train directly from Sarlat-la-Canéda towards Bergerac, and get off at Trémolat station.
From Périgueux: - Take a TER train from Périgueux to Bergerac. - In Bergerac, change to a TER train towards Sarlat-la-Canéda, and get off at Trémolat station.
From Bordeaux: - Take the A89 motorway towards Périgueux/Clermont-Ferrand. - Exit at exit 15 towards Mussidan/Bergerac.- Follow the direction of Bergerac via the D709. - In Bergerac, take the direction of Lalinde via the D660. - From Lalinde, continue towards Trémolat via the D29.
From Périgueux: - Take the N21 towards Bergerac. - At the Vergt exit, turn left onto the D32 towards Sainte-Alvère. - From Sainte-Alvère, continue on the D29 to Trémolat.
From Sarlat-la-Canéda: - Take the D25 towards Bergerac. - Go through Saint-Cyprien and continue on the D703. - Take the D29 towards Trémolat.

- Visit the town of Sarlat by train from Trémolat (the station is -2 kms away). - Visit the village of Montpazier: superb. - Visit the village of Le Buisson de Cadouin and its magnificent cloister (-15 kms). - Visit the little village of Molières nearby: very small but very pretty. - Visit the village of Saint-Alvère near Trémolat: very pretty and very good restaurant LE DIX (French-English couple). - Visit the village of Paunat with its superb abbey church and the restaurant Chez Julien at the foot of the abbey church. - Visit the village of Saint-Avit Seigneur.- Visit the village of Saint-Léon-Sur-Vézère (further away: 45 mins / 1 hour): magnificent and a top restaurant Chez Léon 1* in the Michelin Guide (he is NZ and she is German). The waterside guinguette is great too.
To discover the Dordogne Valley:
- Visit the Châteaux of Beynac, Castelnau, des Milandes (Joséphine Baker) and over 1000 other châteaux and caves. - Visit the village of Issigeac: further south, also very pretty and perfect. To discover Trémolat : - Book into the Vieux Logis (1* in the Michelin Guide): exceptional ‘tapas’ menu every lunchtime. - The nautical base is 500 m from the house for waterskiing, canoeing and aperitifs on the Dordogne.
And of course enjoy the park, the swimming pool and the peace and quiet. Opposite the house, 20 metres from the white gate, is the village café, where every Wednesday many people from the village (23 nationalities) meet.
